Job Description:
The IT Data Scientist/Quality Analyst will work within the Population Health Management Program and reports to the Manager of Technical Development. The Analyst has broad responsibility for supporting the strategic data processing, management and quality objectives. The Analyst works with key customers (both business and technology) and focuses on managing and evaluating Program data throughout the solution life cycle. The Analyst contributes expertise in business processes and system functionality to ensure quality. The Analyst is self-directed and creatively resolves issues to manage and analyze all types of data including claims, EMR and quality metric data. The Analyst develops and executes plans, data mapping and gathers and documents requirements for large complex SQL server databases. The Analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The IT Quality Analyst performs a variety of tasks as required by the project.

Education/Experience
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Technology or Business discipline.
• 3-7 years experience managing, mining and evaluating data from complex SQL server databases containing clinical data.
• 2-5 years experience performing SQL queries, data profiling, or using data quality tools
• 2-5 years working with Health Care data in a health care, payor or medical environment.
• Significant experience calculating statistics and with statistical software preferred.
• Experience translating specifications for quality metrics (PQRS, GPRO, MU, HEDIS) or claims data strongly preferred.
• Experience with all claim file processing and claim formats preferred.
• Strong MS Access skills preferred
• Experience working with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate up, down and across levels of the organization.
• Requires statistical knowledge and programming skills to perform self directed queries to evaluate and report on data and quality.
• Ability to create, manage and enhance customer relationships.
• Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Knowledge of structured programming language
• Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies desired
